The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, decided not to immediately give to Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, full responsibility for the negotiations with Greece on the new maritime borders.
He decided first, to have some consults with former Heads of State of Albania on this case.
Presidency informed on Wednesday that he consulted the former President, Bujar Nishani and Bamir Topi and is expected to do the same thing tomorrow with former President and Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, in order to take a decision and give a final answer for this case.
President Meta has launched a consultation process with former Presidents in order to not give a rush decision after the letter addressed to him by the Foreign Minister Bushati who required the omnipotence earlier this day for the negotiations with Greece.
